Magic Mouse
I can’t say for sure as I don’t use a magic mouse, but someone else on this forum noted that you can enable right clicks on the magic mouse, but it won’t be as good as a mouse with a separate right button. (most likely accomplished through your system preferences for your mouse)
Also, others noted that you could zoom the camera with the magic mouse by Turning off “scrolling gestures” through the in-game menu. This was an official post by a dev.
Please search the Mac forum for “magic mouse” for more clarity and further discussion, there are tons.
I use the keyboard for my movements to be honest.. I mapped the arrow keys to move around because I am not a fan of the W A S D movement keys setup ..
yea I can confirm turning off scrolling gestures makes the game more playable .. but for the most part I use the keyboard and just use the mouse for view panning/targeting (assuming im not just using nearest enemy targeting mapped key)
If I were you I’d ditch the mouse. It is probably the only thing I hate about iMac.
Get a good Logitech rechargeable wireless. I have one very similar to the one in this link. I’ve had mine about 4 years and I love it (used to use it on my old PC when I played WoW). It has some buttons down by your thumb you can use as a keybind for what ever skill / action you want:

Oh and when you have the map up you can click the + / – ont the right of the map. I find it kind of jumpy with my scroll wheel. Also I don’t use the scroll wheel to zoom in or out on my character because it is kind of jumpy too so I use the page up / page down keys. And you won’t have those keys unless you have the full width keyboard with the number pad on the right.
Once again Logtiech seems to make better Mac accessories than Apple I would recommend this (solar power) keyboard if you need a full keyboard:
The dumbed down version of a mouse is something that they started in the beginning. Actually they went with one button at the beginning because they felt two buttons would be too complicated for new users. Their stance hasn’t changed much with what I call the pseudo two button mouse we see now.
Happy gaming and I’m sure you will love your new iMac very a very long time. I sure have loved mine (plural) I bought a second one last week.

Actually I love my magic mouse.. but I guess each their own.

Some people do. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to appear rude. I was trying to describe the simplified version of the mouse that Apple has been using since they created their first mouse. One thing with Apple is they seem dedicated to certain concepts that root back to their beginning. For the most part this have been a big part of their success. Instead of trying to reinvent everything as their technology moved forward they work to improve upon what they have.
Second computer I owned a very long time ago. Apple II, iMac in it’s infancy Note the one button mouse.

The problem with the magic mouse is gestures. You should disable those in the mouse settings when playing GW2. IF you want, you could make a simple applescript and keybind to turn the settings on or off as well. That’s if you use gestures.
In the settings menu there are two options called “Mac mouse…” turn those off and all your problems will be solved.
Right click/hold will let you control the camera (or you can just make it so both left and right click control the camera, which I prefer). You will be able to zoom without it moving the view etc etc.
