Ingame reports do not give you an answer.
The ladybug in game is to report a bug. This is not a bug. Also you dont get a personal answer that way.
To get an answer from support you need to start a ticket here. But my personal experience is that the answer will be that they don’t replace items lost by a player mistake. So yes you can try, but I think it is a waste of energy cause their policy doesnt replace the items.

Yes, you need to drag to one of the slots on the bottom of the mail. If not it is seen as dragging into nothingness and you get the pop-up window if you are sure you want to destroy it (for some items also a request to type the name).

Having never written a ticket, can anybody advise me on how to do so, and what to put it under?
I appreciate all the advice. I’ve heard of Anet being kind to mistakes like this for first timers.. And I don’t plan on doing this again. So even if they don’kittens worth a shot I hope.
