Ever since the update this week I’ve started having more and more trouble getting into GW2. it started with blackscreens when loading up before character select, and now it just gets stuck at “downloading 0/kbs” before the login screen. it seems like the updates are making the game more unstable. Anyone else having similar problems?

Aye, since about 2 weeks loging in GW2 is a constant stream of frustration and bloody “login roulette” , one lucky login attempt for every 10 black screens, today I can’t even get that, all I have is one black screen after the other :/

I have the same thing. This is ridiculous. I can’t log in at all, and the only thing I see is that kitten black screen every single time. Someone fix that!!!

What have you tried so far?

If you haven’t done anything, please try the following:

1) Delete the File ’Documents\Guild Wars 2\local.dat"
2) Start the game with the -repair option
3) Start the game with the -image option (unconfirmed, supposed to download all updates).

trying right now, (deleted the local.dat) now i’m running the fix. then the update. i’ll let you know if anything changes.
