Make the point (for game devs)
I remember when I first downloaded Rift. I thought.. this fps seems really low, I wonder when they are going to optimize it. You know what. It was already as optimized as it was going to get. I think sooner or later people might have to face the possibility that guild wars 2 may be as optimized as its ever going to get. I don’t know that for sure but I do know that if it doesn’t get optimized, there’s going to be a whole lot of people with older systems that are going to be really disappointed.

saddly swordbreaker may be correct, but, I have read that they are trying to fix perf related bugs, specially ones that effect WvWvW.
this games got to many perf related oddities and issues to be fully optimised, I will also say, I have been part of many mmo beta’s and launches, and the good ones, always take months to get all the bugs out and get optimizations done on real world systems.
I know anet didnt want the game to run as poorly as it does for many people, this isnt an amd or nvida or intel thing, its just that anet didnt get as much time as im sure they would have liked to get the game finished (well no mmo is ever really finished even when they close their doors…)
I say give them some more time, I get the feeling they lauched early due to pressure from NCSoft to get gw2 out before MoP……cant blame them, they wanted sales…..they got them…now they gotta debug and optimize the game to fix some serious issues…..that takes time to do correctly……

the sooner umbra fixes their crap and stops blaming gpu vendors, the sooner we get hardware culling back.
