Hello,

My name is Meemness and I always been troubled with connectivity.

After connecting with the support teams, It seems my connection issue is due to the synchronizing with my account and the server, they said they need couples of week to resolve it, but now is July. I waited alot, and been fighting with the internet since I owned gw2 ( that since beta ) but now I do really want to play fractal with an ease in the heart.

My issue starts with that I cannot play while connecting via ethernet, if I connected with ethernet, my character seems disconnected from the social aspect of the game. I’m disconnected from my guild, friend list, party , chat windows and LFG tool. When I open LFG Error 42:0:9001:3858:101 window pops up multi times, and of course nothing appears in the LFG. However, when i connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, The connection to the works fine.

Another thing might be relevant with the issue, when Im online, every 2 to 4 minutes I seem to disconnect and reconnect within seconds. My chat windows notify me who is online, and if I were in a party, all my party UI/avatar flickers quickly(disappear really quickly and show up again ) and my chat switches from /p to /s. When this happens my friend get notified that I was offline then online…. I bet this is annoying for whoever have me in their list

I tried to ping the server ( I got the IP on the game, where I typed /IP on the chat box).
using the Terminal , this is what i got

I hope this helps somehow to understand the issue more. And maybe maybe this might help me to fix the Trading post too ?

I do need to playing gw2 using my ethernet cable. I have no idea what cause this problem ? my IPS or the game server.

I am not really smart with networks and staff, help please?

Hey there Meemness,

Are you running Guild Wars 2 on a MacBook or an iMac?

If you are running the game on a MacBook you may want to try using a different internet connection such as a family or friends internet. While connected to the other network you will want to test both the via Ethernet and wireless connections to the game client.

Doing this will let me know right away if the issue is with your network/ISP or not and will cut down on the troubleshooting that needs done.

If you are running the game client on an iMac, doing the above troubleshooting is going to be a bit harder so I would suggest submitting a ticket via our support system. This will allow me to assist you with your issue directly.
