My Thief is missing his hood, I kept it in his inventory and some time later I realized it was missing. I heard that this has happened before and that you can transmute a hood from an alt to replace it, but is this considered an exploit?
No it’s not. Any starter armor can be switched to a char of the same type; medium, light or heavy, with no problems.
My Mesmer has an Elementalist Flame Eye I got from an alt I made specifically for that reason.
