Most DC's of any MMO?
Gw2, putting the DC in Washington DC.
I find this to be the exact opposite. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve DC’ed in GW2 over the past 3 years….You need to check your router/NIC config, reach out to your ISP to check your line, etc.

I play 3 other MMO’s never once had a DC on them in 5 years. Also you can just browse this forum to see this is not an isolated event. Nothing is wrong with my internet or ISP.
It is a pretty well known problem in GW2, I am just trying to understand why. I suspect is has to do with their server architecture. Whatever allows them to have no downtime for maintenance must also leave players susceptible to DC’s. That is just a guess though, someone who knows more may be able to offer something more concrete.
It’s true, and it’s known since launch.
Usually, I never DC in any game, but gw2 is different.
Normally, if you DC because of your internet, you get kicked out completely to desktop. But gw2 has it’s own problems and kicks random people out. If that happens you land in character screen with a message, not in desktop.
It happens often when:
- there are a lot of players near you
- the map is full
- a lot of players using skills, killing mobs etc.
Otherwise it almost never DC me, I could stand in LA a whole day and nothing happens. But once you go to teq or tri wurm, you feel a bit of lag, even though your internet is superb and have a good ping(mine is around 10 ping). When the lags gets stronger, you know DC is coming to get you.
I rarely DC but then I have a stable internet connection and a PC that can run the game at the settings I have set.

I love these kinds of posts. It is just like the climate change deniers.
…Looks out window… It is snowing outside so obviously everyone else is just wrong and there is no climate change.
I disconnect on occasion, but I don’t find it to be distinctly more (or less) than other games. I’m sure millage will vary depending on the person, considering the number of factors involved.
As for climate change, Zudet, my only argument is that we don’t truthfully know how much of it is natural and how much of it is our influence.
You should see every other MMO. Most MMOs disconnect their entire player base for hours a day every week.
Personally, I very rarely encounter connection issues in GW2, like once a year at most. The last time I disconnected was around 6 months ago when one of the servers was crashing, which they shutdown. I’ve never had a problem doing primetime Tequatl for example.
It’s less likely to be our influence in this case, because most people claim that it only happens in gw2. Some people I know even left because of this.
Try ESO sometimes… If you can move past 15 mins loading screens.
I have perhaps disconnected 3 times, over the course of 3 years. I can’t say there’s too many server issues with the game. I play from Norway, it’s not as if I live next to the server hub. Maybe it’s better here on the EU side though.
Edit: Ok, moderator(s), calm down a bit with all the moving and merging, huh? This is a discussion as far as I can tell, so why in the world was it moved out of General Discussion? I don’t see anyone requesting Account- and/or Technical Support in here.

Do people DC? Yes.
Can it be because of their connection? Yes.
Can it be because they’re running in a cheap computer? Yes.
Can it be because they have some corrupted game files? Yes.
Can it be an an error that randomly and maliciously targets only specific people? …Yes.
The only times I’ve ever DCed is when my ISP resets my router or drops entirely.
RIP City of Heroes

Brainwashing appears to be pretty prevalent in today’s society and no I don’t agree with your assertion.
BTW, I’ve had 3 DC’s total and have been playing the game since Dec 2012 – two of which were my (bad) DSL at the time.

Both use the megaserver technology … I don’t know if that’s a coincidence or not.
