Guild Wars 2

The only buttons my game responds to are the left and right clicks and the scroll wheel (for zooming in and out only). I would like to change a few keybindings to my other mouse buttons (MB3-MB8), but when I go into the game options none of the mouse buttons register, only keyboard entries. If I change the key functionality directly in my mouse settings it still doesn’t function within the game. I’ve tried two different mice (Logitech MX510 & MX700) both with the same results. These same mouse settings work with no issues in GW1.

Having the same, with a completely different mouse (steelseries WoW mouse).
So while it ‘could be’ the individual mouse drivers, it seems more a GW2 issue.

When I re-install my mouse software, I can get it to work in game… for a day.
Next day (so after pc shutdown I guess) all settings are lost in the game again. It simply doesn’t recognise the extra buttons on the mouse anymore.

Just a shot in the dark… did you try right clicking the GW2 icon and run as Admin? See if the key presses register and bind. I had a similar issue with Skyrim, and only Skyrim, using the Razer Diamondback 3g, the key mapping would not save after every exit unless I start the game as Admin.

In fact, it was the opposite that solved it for now…
I did run it as admin, for the same logic.
After a tip from another post on this, I set GW2 to all users, as general as I could… and it worked. My extra keys are using the macro’s I made with the mouse software in the game now.
(those macro’s are nothing but keybinds in facts… since the game doesn’t recognise the mouse buttons itself, I made them correspond to keys I than use in game as second option for my abilities in the set-up)

Can’t bind my mouse wheel up or down. very sad about this.
