Q:

Hi – Sorry if this has been answered already.

I want to use my request a friend for my son who has another PC on the same local network. Am I correct in assuming I can just copy over the client folder from my machine to his rather than downloading it all over again ?

If so could you outline what is involved please.

Unfortunately my ISP has download limits between 8am and 9pm that quarters my bandwidth when exceeded.

A:

Yes you can copy the client directory straight over to the other PC and run GW2.exe to start the game (or create a shortcut to it on the desktop) and it should work just fine.

When there are large game updates you can also save bandwidth by patching the GW2.exe and GW2.dat file on one PC first and then copy both over to the 2nd PC and overwrite the existing files with the already patched versions. This saves you having to download updates twice.
