I’m usually not a very big MMO fan, I tried playing WOW – and I used to always get bored gathering, grinding & questing extremely boring quests. You guys did something right here – I’m loving this game, I even set my alarm 2 hours earlier in the mornings just to be able to play a little more.
I purchased this game – and figured I’ll try it by installing it in Bootcamp – which worked really really well – but I soon got annoyed as I had to keep rebooting my machine in order to play, then I stumbled on the Mac client – and I’ve never been happier – the bugs I’ve experienced are annoying – but no deal breakers for me

~— The bugs I’ve encountered —~
- I cannot zoom in & out in game with my mouse – I’m using a Cyborg R.A.T.7 with the drivers installed.
- If I die (You are defeated screen), and I click the button to spawn from a waypoint, it is really slow to navigate around the map. However if I close the map and open it up again, it’s fast.
- I live in South Africa – and I don’t have a very stable internet connection – however in most games I rarely experience a disconnect – In GW2 it feels like the timeout for reconnecting to the server is just set to low – and I get insane amounts of disconnects which I find really really annoying.
- Sometimes when I get disconnected if I just log straight back into the game – it’s like to mouse sensitive is set to turbo – the camera just spins uncontrollably around my character. I need to ‘Force Quit’ the game, and log back in to fix this.
- Sometimes on cutscenes – when the dialog cinematic is complete – the video is exited, and my character is left standing still with a movie icon on top of his head – and I’m unable to move around or do anything – I need to logout to the Character Selection screen – and log back in to continue.
- If I walk into an area with an active event, I sometimes find that even if I don’t do anything I still receive the rewards for completing it – especially when I arrive right before the event ends.
— All and all – a very good game, and thanks for bringing the Mac client.
