Guild Wars 2

So today I hopped onto Guild Wars, no problem, went off for a few hours, came back… and I couldn’t get back in. The exe. file had deleted itself, and wasn’t in my recycling, and now I am now panicking. Can someone please help?

The same here. My exe file deleted itself Did you receive any response from technical support?

Not yet, I sent them a ticket a few hours ago. Have to satisfy myself with books, anime and League :/

Do make sure, when you install the program, that it isn’t installed to a temp folder/directory. I understand some have issue with that.

Do be aware that CS is indicating on their automated ticket responses that turn-around time may be a bit delayed due to high volume. Still, they haven’t raised the 72-hour limit, so you should hear back within 3 days.

I’m also having problems since the Spring Update. My security program kept saying there was a virus ( there wasn’t) and even when trying to redownload gw2 it gets stuck at connection error(s) detected Retrying… So now I cannot even play the game at all because I cannot get it to download. I’ve tried everything possible.

To me this problem occured after I installed uppdates for windows, I wanted to uinstall the game but there was no uinstall button so i just deleted it, then i used my back-up and when i tried to launch it i got the same answer as PimpNamedSlickback.4067

Temporal solution until they fix it:
download 64 bit version of game client ( from there: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/64_bit_beta_client ) and then just place it to the game folder Works for me

I also checked my appdata and there were alot of corrupted Dat files

My daughter almost cried. We had a bad thunder and lightning storm here so she ran in to shut off my computer for me. She exited to desktop and did normal shut down on computer. This morning when i came back my GW2 file had deleted itself. She thought it was her fault. Someone fix this ugh. I tried to re download the game and it gets to 10335k or something then stops and says it can’t be launched. Do the devs read these forums? Taps the microphone hey is this thing working?? Please fix so that my coming back to play after over a year isn’t a waste of time and energy thanks.

I had this problem after a win10 update.
So I now am downloading the win 64bit Beta client: This seems to work!
