Hello!

Because quiete some people keep about my suspension at guildwars I want to share my story with the Support.
Please notice that this is a eprsonal experience and yours is most likely to be different!


My reasons for doing so are (1) Not having to PM this more than once (2) Maybe creating enough interest so a solutuion is found to solve things quicker for others to come. (3) I also am a little upset about the waiting time. I hope you understand so and notice i try to stay as fair as i can.


I bought my Serial for GW2 online at a vendor that seemd trustful to me at that point. Fast support. Fast service. Fluently german (my language). Also goolge brought me to various forums with posts from trusted members stating it was clean.
It was not.
The Serials where purchased with stoen credit cards. The money went back to the rightful owners. My account got suspended.
I know i didnt do the smartest thing. But since im not new to buying software and other things in the internet and since i did do my homework i thought i was good to go.


I want my account unsuspendet because I feel im not actual the bad person but also a vicitm. I dont say I coulnd have done better but just that I think that my mistake is undernstandable.
I want to continue my story where I left it. Keeping the progress. I dont care for any items.


27.09. – Noticing i cant log in. Thinking of a hack I clean out my harddrives, reinstall windows and so on.

28.10. – Filling support ticket *to german supp to ask why i have been suspendet. Now that my system is clean I hope to get a quick fix.

29.10. – Doing some googling on what might be a reason for the suspension.

30.10 – Finding this forum, some posts and the said credit fraud topic thingie. Updating ticket stating i think what it might be. Stating what i want from support.

01.11. – Lurking forum to see what i might add as information.

02.11. – Stating i dont have a serial since i lost it when reformating (doh!?)
also stating
- paypal transaction number, also incidence number from paypals security system
- my mail address from my paypal-account
- the site where i bought, adding that layout and owner changed since i did
- Adding my ID and a credit card on the same name to verify my identity and that it wasnt me who purchased the code on purpose as a fraud

adding charakter name from account to support ticket
asking them to remove the serial if support decides to reactivate so i can add another serial without contacting support again.

Also:
I posted in the german threat for unsolved tickets older than 5 days.
I posted in the english threat for unsolved tickets older than 3 days.
I only got 1 reply ever to my ticket or to my posts it stated my ticket is “under review”.

So far I am waiting for 12 days on my ticket to be solved.

Support won’t be able to reinstate your account right now, because they didn’t got any money for the key as the original key purchase was fraudulent.

Here is what I recommend you to do above all:

1. Get your money back from that store.

Here is what I recommend you to do to get access to guild wars 2 as fast as possible:

1. Buy a new serial for guild wars 2 at the official store".

2. Once you got the key, reply in the ticket that you got a new key from the official city and give them the key with the request to reactivate your account with the new key.

One of the following will then happen:

Most likely:
1. They will restore your account.
2. They will be unable to restore your account and you have to create a new one. This would mean that you have to start over again, but at least you are able to play.

Very unlikely:
1. You can’t return to the game and the key from the official store will be refunded. Although that seems very, very unlikely.

Thanks for your opinion!
I dont want to buy another serial though as long as i dont know i can eactivate my account. Also i dont want to have 50$ lost in cyberspace for 12 days or longer in the case of the decision that my account will be closed permanently.

edit: I already filled a chargeback over paypal.

After 12 1/2 days i got a reply that they need my serial number.
I already stated in the ticket that i dont have it anymore and asked them kindly to read it directly from my account.

Does support even read what im writing?

They’re likely asking for your serial number to establish that you are the correct owner of the game.

In similar cases they have allowed the player to buy a new serial number from their online shop and then add the legal serial number to the game account. I suggest you to ask the same.

Also, since German is your mother tongue, there’s a German version of this forum as well.

The german forum is quiete dead but thanks for pointing it out, some people might be very interested in that.
Ive deleted all my hard drive to make sure there cant be any type of virus.
Mails couldnt be restored. Serial code gone.

What to do now?

Well, they probably have other ways to establish that you are the correct game owner.

If you haven’t done so, explain that you formatted the hard drive to make sure you didn’t have a keylogger or trojan and because of that the email with the serial code in now gone.

Add to your ticket:
- The address, email and phone number you used when registering.
- Your correspondence with Paypal since that is connected with you current problem.
- All the character names, profession and levels you have in the account (from what you can remember).

I already did everything you stated in the ticket a while ago but my address, i should add that maybe.
I already gave my ID and my credit card, my paypal mail address and the paypal order number

Glad I could help.

The address helps establish that you are the correct owner since that’s something they already have in their database.

By the way, they only need the last 4 digits of your credit card if you had purchased with them. In the future, and for your own safety, don’t post all the numbers of your credit card.

My ticket was “redericted to the correct appartment” now.
After 13 days at least they know where my ticket has to go to be solved
