Guild Wars 2

I set my traffic as EF ( expedited forwarding ) and left everything as default. However, I was wondering what traffic type GW2 is. VPN? VoIP? Telnet? WVW? IGMP? FTP? I have honestly no idea. Also, if any of you know how to properly configure QoS, help would be appreciated, I used my MAC address for it.

GW2 is bulk, meaning it has no QoS flags associated with it. You can setup QoS for it in your network, but once the packet leaves your firewall QoS Flags are ignored/striped on the internet.

so really QoS does you no good across the internet.

It’s just for priority on the wifi, not just GW2. When I do work, my brother is usually watching youtube and the bandwidth just gives up on me.

Apply traffic shaping to your brothers video. limiting his bandwidth.
