I get about 50-60 in certain zones but in combat and in cities i get 20ish to 30ish. What video settings is the best for gw2 through the in game setting and nvidia control panel ?

Better give some details about the hardware you have. Anyway the frame rate drop depends on how many people you have in cities at the same time and in the same place that forces the cpu to work harder. think that any player can move in any direction and can do any move available, while in the open world you face mobs which are “scripted”: they do almost the same moves and don’t work on the cpu so hard

I have a amd 955 quad core and a evga 550ti

Decreasing them all the way down helps you get considerable amount of frames? If it doesnt just dont even waste any time on playing around with them…
