Guild Wars 2

Hi,

I’ve encountered a problem while entering the Guild Wars 2 game. After I select the charracter I want to play with, I go to the loading zone with the nice backgrounds and such. Than after a while I get the following message:

Network error. The inability to connect to Guild Wars 2 may be caused by Internet routing issues or a server network failure.
If the problem persists, please visit our support website. (code=5:11:3:159:101)

Yesterday I had no problems whatsoever… can someone please help me !

Having the same problem, Yesterday I had no connection issues at all

Same problem here almost every time I try to load any map. Wasn’t having any connection issues earlier this morning when I last played.

Having same problems. Played this morning but in EB, i og out to divinity’s Reach and try to log back into eb i get that false network error msg and get logged out. other BL’s work just fine, its only EB and “major” maps it seems.

Same problem here. Same error, I sometimes manage to connect but when a loading zone occurs, I get kicked out from the game with this error. Had no problems until today.

I can’t get any character out of Gendarren Fields. -.- I log in at Vigil Keep, try to port anywhere else, and get this error. Another day of jogging around the mystic forge!

I get this too, trying to load any character I logged out from Gendarren Fields.
Characters in other zones I can load without problems.

I tried guesting on another server, that works for now for Gendarran Fields at least.
My problem was on Piken Square.

I have the same issue (EU-Gunnar’s Hold). Since the patch I simply disconnect whenever I try to log into any of my characters.

Found this thread where they resolved it, but I dont know what the hell they were doing :( The do describe it. Maybe some of you can figure this out. )

“The problem has been solved.
I held two email interchanges with tech serv.
The first I was suggested to add a /clientport 80 command to the shortcut target line. This would not provide any sensible distinction on the problematic behaviour.
Then I was invited to add a -repair command to the shortcut target line.
This proved to be effective. Since then I have done all sort of activities and no issue was present at any time. Everything loads just fine.
This, and the patch from Aug the 7th, has been the solution for the problem consigned on this thread.

PD. Before the -repair thing, i was able to recover my unretrievable character by the means of guesting in the character selection screen. After changing worlds, the character loaded without problems.”

Same issue here. Gerrandarn Fields is the problem. Where the only character i want to play is…

Seems like Guild Wars 2\Anet already know about this problem. Look at their Twitter Account. 12h ago they announced they know the problem is troubling people.
Dunno if they made a real attempt do solve it thou..

I have the same problem but in a different zone, my character was in the Black Citadel where I couldnt load the ash tribune quarters, and now, when trying to go from the BC to Ashford, it crashes too.

I’ve tried the “-repair” thing on my shortcut, game checked the files, I tried to load my character but it still crashed.

-repair didn’t work for me either.
Guesting is working, but the connection when entering new areas is a bit shaky still.

I’m stuck in iron marches and black citadel.
The funny thing about this error is my husbands account works just fine and he’s like 3 meter’s away from me and we play on the same server and use the same internet connection.

I guested to another world. Was able to play again, but within 5 minutes Gw2 kicked me out again..

ok. I was able to log in again, I guess they just had some issues with the server… all fixed for me now.. for now xD

Sigh…Tried to log on my main in Gendarran and got this error…(I’m on GH).
I know a game will always have some bugs and such, but these last weeks were a festival of them

I was playing normally in open world. When i ported to seafarer border, i got this message. So login again and crash right away with same message. This was around 5 times and then it redirects me to gendarran fields without crash. So went to border again and same story.

Yup I’m experiencing the same thing here too. It all started after the patch from yesterday. I’m playing on Desolation and my character is in Gendarran Fields.

Same thing. Managed to wiggle my way past it by questing, but it happened again an hour later. Most irritating.

Same issue here. And then after this happens, i need another 10 tries to get back into game, becuase launcher is failing.

Same thing happened to me just now, got dced from dungeon and can’t get back in :/

Same problem on my main character (stationed in Divinity Reach). On other characters (e.g. Mount Maelstrom) there’s no problem, the game loads and runs. I think it happens only for characters situated in specific areas of the game (Gendarran, Divinity, etc..)

I’m having the same problem. I can log in on my alts just fine (didn’t try moving them to Gendarran). If I’m guesting I seem to be able to get in just fine. Only Piken is a problem. I even tried moving my main to another map while guesting and relogging there but I still get the same error out of Gendarran.

[EDIT] Managed to get in twice in a row on my main now. Anyone else had this kind of success?

I can log in fine. For me it only sends me out with the error code when I try to join WvW. Then I can’t log in with thar character for a few minutes…

got the same error 10 minutes ago – tried restarting my pc & internet connection

nothing seems to work – riverside de in bloodtide coast

Have the error 5:11:3:159:101. Tryed using a VPN connection and thru the VPN I connect just fine so it seams to me that it is some sort of network error related to my firewall.

Are you guys behind some kind of harsh firewalls to?

guesting in another world fix my error. In character select pic “world selection” and pick some world to “guest”. Log in and log out and you are pack in your normal game world.

I’ve had no error messages so far but the game is laggin like crazy. Already made a speedtest and my connection is fine. Problem occured today.

Dc’ing within 5 minutes – or less- in PVE (Gendarren Fields, Hoelbrak) & WvW
