Heyy guys the new builds just came and I’m trying to open up my guild wars 2, but when i open it its says "Connection Error(S) Detected. Retrying…

What do i do?

Yep, i’ve quit the launcher and retried twice. now i’m just letting it do it and see what happens. but yeah i’m getting the same message when the launcher is trying to update for the new build.

Sigh. Me too. Husband couldn’t even update his computer

Ahhh, but now my computer is re-downloading something.

All I know is I wish they would hurry up, I’m finally on vacation and this isn’t helping any lol.

Wait it out mate everyone is having this issue.

I’m not a technical expert by any means but I’m going to assume that because they released the patch during a heavy traffic time that it’s straining with the amount of people trying to download it.

So really wait it out I think is the only thing we can do.

People say that a lot of people are doing this at the same time so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it..

its sporadic and hell, going super slow but still updating. I am getting that same message.

There are probably a lot of a lot of people trying to download this patch at the same time. Their servers are probably not properly equipped to deal with such massive amounts of requests for such large amounts of data. Be patient and try again in like 15-30minutes, the patch isn’t going anywhere

The servers shut down to rollout the update less than 30 minutes ago…

Last update took I think 2½ hours, so plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Edit: And as soon as I post this and try the client again, it starts downloading. Perfectly timed lol

Logged out for up date, now it’s not connecting.

if you are getting this error. it is due to a clugging per say. just let it sit it will fix itself .

yep, just odd timing i think. I am no tech either, but i’m guessing server strain. My download is about halfway now. I love my comp XD

522 megs @ 75%

So under 800megs… im guessing….

By the elapsed download 58% complete, downloaded 357Mb, i’d say it’s total roughly 500Mb
… no, better guess at 600Mb this point.

I let mine sit on retrying and it eventually started its download.

i7 on 1333 mem and a 6970M aint a beast comp … just sayin’
