Guild Wars 2

Hello,

So I am planning to buy new PC, to make this game more enjoyable. Here I will post the current setup and if someone can tell me how it will wrok, I will be glad for it.

GPU: AMD Sapphire R9 270X 2GB (256) aktiv 2xD H 2DP
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1600MHz CL10 Kingston HyperX Blu
CPU: INTEL Core i5-4440 BOX (3.1GHz, LGA1150, VGA)
MB: MSI B85M-G43

I am not an PC wizzard, so I cant imagine how it will work, how many FPS, what details and so on.

Do you overclock?

Anyway yes it is good build…

Mostly MMO´s and some MOBA. Now Guild Wars 2 for most of time and dont want to change it. Maybe time to time some FPS shooter.

About overclock. Dont want to do it, never did it.

But if you dont want to OC then take this
You can get cheaper R9 270 and take little higher clocked i5 4670(4570)

R9 270 is more than enough for GW2 and also between i5 4430 3.2Ghz and i5 4670 3.8 Ghz is about 20% difference (i5 4570 3.6Ghz -12%)

Yes it will – you can OC that GPU to 1050 core clock (if you want more) and then is same as R9 270X

R9 270 is downclocked R9 270X

again R9 270 can OC up to 1150-1225 – depends
but to reach 1000 or 1050 is quite easy – if you will need

and one last thing – ram must be 1.5V or lower

Just for the record, R9 270 is literally the exact same thing as an R9 270X. Just make it slightly faster, and there you have the 270X.

Why would his ram HAVE to be 1.5v?

It is not recommend to have higher V with Haswell

It’s not recommended, but it’s not a requirement to be lower. Besides, most RAM is 1.5v anyway. or so I last looked.

Actually it’s not recommended since Sandy Bridge, but those warnings normally don’t stop OCers.

It’s not recommended to recommend AMD cpus for this game, it’s not recommended to find benchmarks that have NOTHING to do with GW2, but, someone we know still does it….

As far as the build goes, you mention the Thief reboot, BF4, etc. What type of settings did you plan to play these games on? You won’t be playing them maxed out if that’s what you are after.
