Problem 1
So my GW2 just updated to Version 1.0.008555 and since then, I haven’t been able to play. I can log in, but after I hit “Play” a smaller screen pops up (where the game would if it wasn’t fullscreen) and just grays out. I don’t know how to fix this… I can log in, and I have no issues with that, the game itself won’t play.

And

Problem 2
I’ve been reading a lot about Graphics Cards. I have a Late 2011 MacBook Pro. I read on one of the forums here that someone used a graphics card and it increased his fps by 20-30… Mine gets as low as 8 or 9, and only get’s up to 20-25 at most. I’ve been looking a lot at the Apple website, and amazon and quite honestly, it’s all flying way over my head. The prices are up around $300-$800 so it’d be a long term investment. Can anyone recommend getting one, which one, or maybe a cheaper alternative?

Thanks, qaasq

1. Open Finder
When Finder is open your menu options in the upper left hand corner of your screen are: Finder File Edit View Go Window Help
Click Go
While the Go Menu is pulled down hold down the alt option key on your keyboard.
This makes a new option called Library appear, click on Library.
Click on Application Support
Move Guild Wars 2 to Trash
Start Guild Wars 2 after moving this folder to Trash

2. You are NOT upgrading your graphics card on a macbook pro END OF STORY!
Your only option there is to buy a new mac with a better graphics card in it.

most laptops do not have upgradable cards, there are a small few, but even if you bought a pc your usually stuck with your video card if it is a laptop.

Oh I found it, it was in a sub-folder. Thanks! Will I have to do this every time the game updates?

It usually only needs to be done once but you never know with computers and software.
