Guild Wars 2

and I have no clue why. TS works, any site works, GW2 no soup. Its set to the corrct speakers.

I know I haven’t given much to work with here guys, but that’s because I am completely and utterly clueless as to why this is happening and don’t even have a start point to repairing it.

Close your game completely and then check your surround sound settings for your audio and make sure it didn’t get set to 5.1 or 8 channel/7.1 surround sound. Those modes are not supported by GW2 yet. Set it to 2 channel stereo.

Thanks Stin, Didn’t work unfortunately as I was set to stereo. Bose 2.1 system.

Check its set to correct output device in gw settings check gw2 is not muted in windows sound mixer

You know, the minute you said check and see if GW2 is muted I knew it was going to be that. I remembered doing it when I started TS.

Friend of mine always comments on hearing cats and such running, and knowing people are doing x and so.

And, of course you need to have the game on and check the mixer or it wont be on, so all the time I spent checking stuff either ingame or out of game…useless heh.

So true. Of course Stin the more you know about the innards of a computer the more time you spend doing stupid kitten trying to fix something and the more of a dumbkitten you feel when you realize that one should always start at step 1…
