Guild Wars 2

Tried to logon on this morning, but am stuck at 0% downloading on the startup screen.

So a heads up as I think the problem is possibly due to the recent Telstra Telco outage… I believe this as I am able to surf a few websites that are live but are not being connected to from here.

www.abc.net.au and www.bbc.co.uk for example.

Used this site before… http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and the two sites listed above are live but not available in FNQ. Assuming that the IP range or packet route is out for us here.

Well that probably explains this error – Connection error(s) detected. Retrying… – haven’t been able to get the client to run at all.

Edit – I’m in SE Qld.

Having the same issue, can’t connect. And like the rest of you, i’m in queensland. Guessing the storms and floods must have damaged one of their stations.

Yeup, same issue here coming from QLD. Thought I was doing something wrong but I was playing fine when capped last night; guess we just gotta wait it out…

Some sites work… so I assume it is a DNS resolving issue.

Havn’t been able to connect since the update after the new build…

Telstra DNS is kitten atm so just use googles public
8.8.8.8 – 8.8.4.4

Ohhh also, am in Qld and having same issue.

Im from NQ in the Wide Bay area and I get the cant connect error but if I just let it sit it will keep trying till it eventually gets me in. Longest its taken is around 3 minutes.

No problems mate. Happens all the time after a large storm surge like this.

I have fastwarded through to where it shows you how to change the settings. Just put in
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
instead of what that guy put in.
