Guild Wars 2

So after my recent return to GW2, I’ve been noticing an odd mouse issue that has been driving me crazy.

As certain times, the cursor just becomes unresponsive for a few moments, or goes nuts for a split second, either swiveling my camera 90-180 degrees abruptly (right-click look mode) or sending the cursor flying off to the top/bottom/side (free cursor mode).

It does not happen often, and I cannot reliably reproduce it, but it does continue to happen periodically, perhaps between 1 and 4 times per hour.

This does NOT happen in Windows, or in any other PC games, only in GW2. I recently got a new mouse, but the issue still happens exactly the same as before.

Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Do you have a touchscreen computer by any chance? Because if there is a pinched corner the camera goes crazy anytime you try to use the touch screen.

@Incul: I googled it a number of different ways prior to my post in here. Sadly, no luck

What did Tech Support offer as suggestions? Did none of them work?

How about your mouse manufacturer? What do their forums say? Their support techs?

This issue still occurs after the recent major patch, though not as often; happens maybe once a day now. So that’s a plus, I guess.

1. It has never happened outside of gw2
2. I swapped to a new mouse, and the issue persisted exactly the same
3. The issue changed in frequency after the series of june 23rd patches
This would seem to suggest its a bug within gw2.

This still happens regularly, though at least less often than pre-J23rd patch. It happened last night, in fact, right in the middle of a WvW zerg :/

Yeah, it’s a bug. It’s been reported by several people including myself. It came after the Ground Targeting/Lock on Target feature which concerns the in-game cursor/position.

The cursor is supposed to become invisible once you hold right click, but for some reason Guild Wars 2 doesn’t register the button click which results in the inability to control the screen rotation. It happens most often when you’re one scroll away from being in first person view.
