Any help is appreciated. unintstalled ati driver and reinstalled. No changes. Verified Dat file. Messed w every setting in the catalyst control center. Also used every switch in the exe target line i thought could help. i am at a loss.. it used to work fine. Took a month off from game and came back to only windowed mode. ?? dual screen 1x 22Inch and 1x 27inch. Trying to play on my 27. 1080p

Also, restarting your computer and/or running as admin have fixed these errors for many people. If they dont, run memory tests.
Sorry should of attached forgot about that… well rebooting has not worked. Launching as admin dosent work. Memory is fine. Any other ideas i can rock all my other game no problem. If i disable one of my monitors it works fine. But that just sucks to do.
I had similar problems but memtest found errors on the ram, swapping the ram seemed to have fixed it.
Hey, seems we are having the exact same issue. Game crashes instantly if I try and go full screen or fullscreen windowed. Wont start in them modes either so I have to run the launcher in -windowed.
From what I’ve read, its an issue with dual-monitor setups on AMD GPU’s. There is no fix right now (apart from maybe finding an older driver that works, but thats not an option for me as when I uninstall graphics drivers it wont let me re-install them).
I dont know if its a driver problem or a game problem, but I’d really appreciate if ArenaNet support staff could reply and see if they can investigate! Its driving me nuts.

What configuration are you running, i have 22inch and 27 inch. THey are 1680×1050 and the other is 1080p 1920x 1080. But i have tried other resolutions and every setting imaginable. I must say as soon as i disable one monitor game launches fullscreen w no isuse. I also used to (up untill like a month ago) Dual screen w/o issue.

I have 2×21.5inch monitors, both are exactly identical. I also can disable one to get fullscreen to work, but thats not really good practice to put your customers through. I recently returned from a long break so I can’t be specific as to when it started happening. Resolution affects nothing here either, its purely something to do with two monitors being on at once.
ArenaNet please look at this!
Bump for patch, still no fix. I reported this to AMD but if they only get one report its not really going to be looked at is it?
This can be marked as solved since the latest Catalyst 14.x Driver release. Has fixed the issues!
