So, my wife ordered two copies of GW2 through Amazon. We un-wrapped both games to discover one of the games did not contain the serial code (it had an extra installation manual instead). So our immediate thought process was we should be able to work with GW2 customer service to obtain the ‘missing’ serial code. My wife filed a trouble ticket (Incident: 120904-003432) and so far she has only received two automated responses that provide troubleshooting tips for inputting the serial code …… nice gesture but that doesn’t address our issue.
She has been a gentlewoman and has faith in GW2 customer service. I on the other hand am beginning to lose faith because of the overly automated process and lack of person-to-person interaction (never mind what appear to be very narrow customer support hours, could be off on this last part). Here’s the catch, we live in Okinawa, so the time difference alone creates havoc when we attempt to resolve issues with retail stores or customer support services, and our options are severely limited.
I would greatly appreciate it if GW2 customer service would help us resolve the issue of a ‘missing’ serial code so my wife and I can both enjoy the game together.
