[PC] Game keeps crashing
Try the game without the overclock.

Tried this but it did not help. Thanks anyways!
I’ve been getting the BSOD pretty frequently. Usually it’s after about 10 minutes of play. If I can last longer than that, the problem doesn’t show up. It’s only with GW2. I haven’t had any problems with WoW, TSW, Diablo 2, or HotS.

I have the exact same problem. Ran some dungeons today and crashed very often. Some BSOD crashes, game crash with the crash report thing or just game stops responding and having to end it with task manager.
BSODs are always hardware or driver related. A user program can’t generate a bluescreen
under Windows NT.
Now look if there are any module names in the bluescreen. My personel favourite
is nvdisp.dll that means again some crappy NVidea drivers.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Yeah, I’ve been getting atikmdag.sys which is AMD drivers. The weird thing is that I reinstalled my drivers recently and still getting BSOD. Got some windows error aswell, so I did a windows repair yesterday and game still crashes with the occasional BSOD.
What windows errors ? Maybe time to completly reinstall windows ?
Also what you can try :
- Remove your GPU and maybe also your memory chips and then make sure they
are properly connected.
- remove soundcard or disable in BIOS if onboard and test without sound.

I am not too thrilled with latest AMD drivers.
I recently upgraded my computer after video board and PCIe slots failed on old. The old still works on built in video but has terrible frame rates. I never had crashes with the old setup.
in any case on the new with a much more recent video card I was getting those crashes frequently. I use an AMD R9 280. I tired all manner of things to try and limit crashes. Initially I was getting blue screens with the crash. As I tweaked I was getting less of those and then a back screen (game just stopped responding) albeit rarely those assertion failures.
The most stable was turning off OC of all types then ensuring the cards refresh rate was set to my monitors. I then enabled the V Sync as I have a high refresh rate monitor.
It still crashed but no more BSODS. Just that video driver error where the driver would stop responding.
I decided to run GW2 in XP compatibility mode and have had no crashes since.
