Whats the CPU overclocked to?

I have not overclocked it. I planned on over clocking it, but never got to it (life priorities came about). However, there is a EVGA Tech guy named Jacob, that has overclocked this same CPU (on the same Mobo) to over 5.0Ghz (stable). Most of the research I have done is showing people overclocking it to 4.7-4.9Ghz.

Where’s the liquid nitrogen?!? I’m gonna post that on my guild site and ask for upgrade recommendations… >.>

lol, no liquid nitrogen! However, some hardcore water cooling enthusiasts use car radiator coolant.

lol what a waste of money. I can build the same performing computer(same GPUs, same CPU, and same RAM) for less than $2000.
Also, almost all the prices you listed with the parts are heavily inflated. Just compare to Newegg and Amazon.

I thought “awesome” when I first say the orientation of your tri-screen. But then looking it over, the sum of the parts look no more then standard widescreen dims. So I would think instead of what you have a 37" or 42" monitor does the same thing without the monitor frames interfering at 33 and 66% horizontal. Just sayin.

I wish I had 5K for a pc, I could then have 5 awesome gaming pc’s.

IF it was already set OC’d to say 4.8 or 5ghz(which is a PITA to reach with Ivybridge) with OC’d Tri SLI, 16gb 2133mhz CL8 RAM then maybe it would be a $5k machine.

Alot of the money went into the monitors. the case ,fans and water cooling ..making it look great ..but without it setup right(OC’d) and enough hardware inside to power those screens ..it isnt worth it.
SLI is great for 3 screens. .if they are 1080p ..
Those screen iirc are 1440p each ..u need Tri SLI or Quad SLi for 7680×1440 horizontal / 4320×2560 vetical setups.

Still nice looking rig.

EDIT: another thing i would expect in a $5k rig, if using a Ivybridge, is the cpu IHS removed and ether running without it, or at the very least have the TIM replaced with proper high quality stuff.

What a waist of $ i’ll take this 3 monitor setup over that any day and just 2k.

If I were you, I would sell the computer separate from the monitors you own. It’s a nice computer and you put a lot of work into it but it’s going to be a hard sell at 5 grand for any budget especially since the person buying it still has to overclock so it narrows whos going to buy it. Sell the computer for 2500 and sell the monitors for 2500 on ebay. That’s probably your best bet.
