Guild Wars 2

Started after I moved back in the tail end of October.

I’ll be playing. Everything will be fine. Then there’ll be about a five second period where the game slows down and the MP3 I’m playing in the background goes all wonky, then the laptop’s just off. A couple times I’ve been able to prevent it by shutting the game down when things start slowing, and the screen will flicker for a while when I do.

Generally I’d be good for a bit over an hour until the Feb 10th patch. Now I only get about 10-20 minutes.

Know what could be causing this? I’ve tried the fixes in the “Crashing Issues” and “FPS and Performance Based Issues” threads in the faq. Also did the “Refresh your PC without affecting your files” option in my PC Recovery and reinstalled Guild Wars 2.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
12 GB DDR3 L Memory

There doesn’t seem to be any error log left by these crashes.

I’ve been having the same problem. I just got a new pc a week ago with basically the same specs, and this has happened to me 4 times in the last 3 days. It’s usually around an hours or two into the game when it happens. I’ve been keeping an eye on GPU temp and stuff like that and everything’s normal except for these random crashes. If anybody knows whats wrong or how to fix it please let us know!

windows now doesnt show bluescreens as a default, you will have to turn that back on in your system settings. This will get you a code on crash, which will point you in the right direction.

If no code shows up then its most likely a hardware problem as components will shut themselves down to prevent further damage.
