Monday I was booted off my account after trying to send gold to a friend multiple times. Since it wouldn’t let me send a large amount I sent it in increments of 10g over the course of an hour. There were several attempts where it gave me the error message that I could not send the gold.
My account was locked all of that evening and unlocked at 2am Tuesday.
Tuesday morning I checked to see if I could log in, I was able to, then tried to actually play the game an hour later and my account was locked again. The same message that my account was suspected to have been stolen.
I submitted yet another ticket yesterday which was not answered until today. They gave me a new password stating that I could log into my account, however, *never admitted any fault of their own or even mentioned the actual problem*. Now that I am home from work, I try to log in and guess what? My account has been locked due to suspected theft. So I won’t be able to play for a third night in a row. I cannot believe I purchased this game and get this sort of service from this company.
Unless we can get enough people on these forums complaining that their automated locking system is working improperly, then they will never fix it.
PS: The moderators of this forum have deleted two post of mine which extolled the problems I’ve had with my account. For the reason that they were “nonconstructive”.
PS: I also added a cell phone authentication so that they could be sure I was the one accessing my account.
ArenaNet, you certainly duped me!
My Friend is also right now banned without any reason.. we were in dungeon together and he was just kicked out….. never cheated never do anything. we have always play together.. so i don’t understand TBH what are they doing?

The have a system which automatically locks peoples accounts to protect them from account fraud, however, if you read this forum you will see that most of the people are posting about similar incidents where the system has incorrectly locked their account.

The detection system when sending gold to another player is just plain STUPID! Whoever came up with this idea has a lot of explaining to do to the community.
