Guild Wars 2

I use a unique email address for Guild Wars 2 and I use a very long and random password that is extremely difficult to type. I cannot paste text into the Mac client’s login forms, so I am unable to log in unless I change my password to something I can type by hand.

When I paste my e-mail, I get garbage boxes instead of characters. Screenshot attached.

The password shows up as stars, but it is also garbled. I manually typed my email but my password paste attempts have failed.

Ha! I beat Mark Katzbach to posting this as a known issue.

Why can’t you type the password? Are you using the extended character sets?

I can type the password manually, but it’s difficult to not make a mistake when it’s more than 50 characters long.

Ran into this when I was trying to get GW2 to work with Wine/WineSkin and its a Wine problem and it seems like ArenaNet is using a custom Wine for OS X. Cut&pasting inside the same Wine instance works but not from native OS X.

Doubtful there will be a fix for it :/
