Trying to buy Guild Wars 2 for 2 friends, and it seems that the PaySafeCard doesn’t work(so much for the SAFE part).

I checked the 75% discount, it’s weekend so i can’t go to the bank to put some money on my account so what do i do? I use paysafecard….cause it’s really easy. What do i get for wanting to introduce 2 of my friends to the game? Nothing..i just have 20 E less than i did before(Well more, if anyone used PaySafeCard before…you pay way more than what you get….anyway)

After screaming at the screen for the whole Authorization Failed, and sending a ticket, my girlfiends starts surfing the web a little, and it seems i’m not the only one with this problem. And what ArenaNet has to say? “Use another payment method” after we already spent money on the PaySafeCard, cause it’s right there at the billing information black on white.

For the game with the kindest community, ArenaNet sure is cold as one of my ex-girlfriends.

We deserve an official statement, some help, anything. Some of us have been loyal players for quite some time and this is really not what i expected from ArenaNet “Use another payment method” ohhh geeee thank you, maybe next time don’t put the sale on weekend.

Hoping more players will see this and will stay away from the paysafe card method.

They aren’t used to this kind of things happening and the ones on the custumer service can’t tell us anything new cause the orders must come from above. For the 1st time since launch they are on the spotlight and didn’t expect so many people trying to buy the game nor the problems they are facing. Let’s just hope they procede the correct way and extend the sale till the problems get solved, if they don’t we can just bash on them constantly.
Riot faces problems like this all the time and they manage to get most of their players happy.

Sent a ticket, got this:

At this time PaySafe Cards are not a payment option for your location. I can only suggest using a different form of payment if you wish to purchase Guild Wars 2.

I am sorry the website is showing you a payment method that should not be displayed to you. We have reported it to the development team but we are not able to implement an instant fix or allow the site to take your PaySafe card.

Additionally normally, purchases made online from us can be used only on the account where the purchase was made. As such, it is not possible to purchase serial codes for friends. Usually, we can recommend purchasing copies directly from a local or online retailer, which can be given as a gift.
However for Guild Wars 2, since our system requires an e-mail address to be provided during the purchase process, you may enter your friend’s e-mail address, and after purchase, e-mail or postal mail the code/receipt to your friend. Alternately, you can enter your own e-mail address, receive the receipt/code, and forward the e-mail to them.

It is not normal, i’ve never heard of something like this. It’s their fault they have to fix the paysafe card problem so we can get our game. We already got the codes, what are we supposed to do with them? We already spent money on those just because we trusted what they wrote on their website.

Well as a response to a ticket they said paysafe it’s not currently working in my location (Portugal) wow now that’s a coincidence cause it doesn’t work anywhere in Europe… for what i’ve read inth threads and it isn’t only restrict to paysafecard other methods are failing aswell so ANet you should at least give proper feedback and not just hide your mistakes…

I finally managed to buy the game. But i had to use paypal. I dream of the day we may be able to add funds to paypal by using paysafecards

Same problem here (also Portugal), my cousin wanted to buy the game, as soon as he saw the 75% off he got a paysafe, and now we find out that paysafe isn’t a avaliable paying method… i dont think its fair to have a false advertisment on their website, now the poor young man has a 10€ worth paper that he cant even refund or convert in any way.

they said they are looking into it….They could’ve said “Yeah PaySafe Card…not good, sorry” but they said they will fix it, so i’m happy. Let’s just wait.
