I am trying to purchase a digital deluxe copy of the game and have used both credit cards and PayPal and I keep getting Payment Authorization Failed . Anyone else? Is it just overloaded?

Same issue, connecting through a proxy from Germany (on a U.S. base) trying to pay in USD if that matters.

I have over run the system and registered myself as Austrian since sLOVEnia didn’t work (paid with paysafecard) and did work, i was able to buy and login(delux version for 10€).

And it worked, now i wanted to do the same for friend.. and it was already disabled that option, and it says error that purchase failed ROFL… So yeah… they should work around that and fix their issue.. because what’s the point of getting sale if your payment webpage doesn’t work.. Also.. i won’t purchase 40€ one if they won’t fix it in time.. i’ll just sell my paysafe card..

This is happening to a friend of mine too he already tried the support so all we have to do is wait :c

trying to buy via paypal,for my cousin and alt for my self.. but getting this message error..says ‘payment authorization failed’ but meh.. maybe I must wait till they confirmation payment on first order,and try to buy again

same problem with a friend of mine, after clicking “Buy Now”, it goes to a seperate page saying “Payment Authorisation Failed”

What is the solution if i want tho purchase the game to my frienad via pay pal?
“Payment was not completed for this order. Please click here if you would like to place a new order” Why it cant let me pay with my pay pal account? its linekd with my credit card.

What’s the point if i can’t play with friends, I want to buy them a game for suprise that we can finaly play gw2 together and I’m trying to buy it for like 3h…..

Same here in Portugal! I want to buy the game for my boyfriend as a surprise and when i use paysafecard it says payment Authorization failed. Please fix it!!!!! :C

Same here in Romania.The PayPal is working but the Pay Safe method is not.

I’m getting this problem too atm. With both credit card and paypal.

Anet, please fix your stuff, we PUSH money into your hands, and you don’t want to take it.. well your choice guys.

I’m having the same problem, I bought 2 accounts for me and a friend then tried to buy one for my girlfriend but it says Payment Authorisation Failed. I’ve tried multiple cards and phoned up the bank to make sure it wasn’t blocked, they weren’t, they said requests weren’t even sent though for the third account payment. Hopefully it’s sorted while the sale is still on.

after many fails i finally did it, i live in Greece, i used ZenMate its an add-on expasion for browsers, i changed my proxy to england, i added Great Britain as my country to a different email not the one that i registered here first. I tried many ways but none of them worked.
I hope i helped you guys 4 hours left i think :/

Yep, having this problem as well.

Any fix for this? USA here.

Was a card issue on my end.

I’m having the same problem. I’m an American living in South Korea. I can’t get Paypal or credit cards to work, even over a VPN. Disappointing to not see a response from AreaNet on this since, as someone above mentioned, our complaint is that we can’t shove money into your hands.

I’m having the exact same problem, and i just got off the phone with my bank and they’re telling me they’re not doing it. It’s something wrong with guildwars2 end.

I guess internet explorer was useful for once… Worked for me.
