Ok guys, whats going on? Just this past week I have been having all kinds of issues logging onto your servers and staying connected through zones. Did you guys purchase some new IPs across domains? Because from the pictures you will be able to see what I am seeing. Everything was fine with Peerblock for the past few years and now all the sudden I am having to allow certain IP address’s through my app. So something is going on. At one point in time I had a cleared list from ?.?.?.1 – ?.?.?.255 for you guys. And apparently that’s no longer working. I am just looking for some clarification on what IP address ranges are working so I can put them into my White List and not have to get booted from the game every time I zone into a new zone for HoT content.

And just for a little bit of clarification this is only happening when I zone into the HoT Maps. It does not happen in the regular vanilla maps.

They did change CDN providers recently, but in this case…

HoT appears to be running on different servers, specifically Amazon’s EC2 cloud service. Using /ip on these maps returns their private local IP, whereas -maploadinfo shows the actual remote IP. It could just be a pass-through, but if they’re actually running HoT on Amazon’s servers, they’re likely testing its potential / cost.

It’s not really a serious issue for me, I can just allow for the specific ip’s to pass through the application. It would just be easier for me to get a complete range instead of individual ip’s. It’s kind of like I had to do for the http setup for the BLTP. There was a certain range I had to use in order for it to pass through the app. And that has worked forever. Now with HoT, and if your assumption is correct about the EC2 cloud service, then I would need to get my hands on those ranges to add to my white list. It’s either that or I stop using Peerblock….lmfao…yea right…that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

This makes so much sense why there is suddenly insane lag spikes every time there’s a slightly big fight in WvW

I am seeing people stuck/run into walls then it all speeds up after a while and I’m either dead or just doing nothing with 4k ping spikes, literally unplayable.

Ironically chat is fine, every other thing is fine, TP is fine, just GW2 in WvW the skill bar starts blinking and nothing works which seems to me the servers aren’t able to handle the load. Really annoying.

FOR THE GREEEEEEEEEEEEN

I just came back to the game a week or so ago and I have experienced DCs about every hour and a half, sometimes less. From the beginning I assumed the problem was on my end and followed the basics in checking and tweaking. But nothing has worked.
