Pingzapper?

I’m experiencing an issue with my internet provider (TeleTu) for a long time, because it filters online gaming and consequently it is almost impossible to play.
I have used a VPN connection for a few months for this reason, but today I’ve been told that this program, Pingzapper, could be quite useful instead of the usual VPN.

The question is: how is it? Is it safe/legal? Could I be banned for it? Or could it track down my account informations?

I don’t know much about Pingzapper’s safety/reliability, but if you’re already using a VPN and you’re happy with it I don’t think there’s any reason to switch to something like Pingzapper. It’s going to perform essentially the same function using SSH rather than VPN. There are differences, but I don’t think you’d see any boost over what you’re using now.
