Playing as a mac user
As someone who recently sold their custom gaming desktop & gaming laptop to get a 2016 MacBook Pro touchbar (16gb ram, radeon pro 455 2gb, 2.7ghz i7, etc), I would love to know hear some feedback on this as well.
I’m about to download the Mac clients and try, but am not sure if 32 bit or 64 bit is the way to go, or even if it’s worth trying inside of OS X?
Is it bootcamp or bust?

Radeon 455 is almost as powerful as GTX 960M, and your processor is an i7-6820HQ.. its a godlike processor, and this game doesn’t really hard on GPU and rely more on CPU. I think the game will run smoothly on your Mac.
For comparison, my brother’s laptop use GTX 960M and i7-6700HQ and he play GW2 just fine on good setting constantly pulling in 50+ FPS @1080p. Your GPU only weaker by bout 2% and your CPU is much better.

Thanks, I actually just tried logging on this morning and I never passed 30fps on any settings. I’m using the new 64 bit Mac installer.
Maybe I will have to use bootcamp?
I’ve always had the best experience with bootcamp. I made the switch maybe about 1 and a half years ago. The 64 bit client is still very much in development mode and I’ve not had close to the same performance as I do with with bootcamp Windows. There are also still a lot of limitations with the Mac native client. I do look forward to the continued improvement of the Mac native client as I sometimes play on 2 other Macs that I have not installed bootcamp Windows on. Also I look forward to the day that I don’t have to boot into Windows to play on my main Mac. So for now based on my experience if you have the ability to run bootcamp Windows that is the best bet.
