I read that there was a security breach at Playspan, the company who runs the Guild Wars 1 in game store. Should I be worried about my account information since our GW1 and GW2 information is the same. I haven’t purchased anything in the GW store in quite some time. Should I be worried about CC info? I hope ArenaNet is forthcoming about this breach in security. Visa who acquired playspan last may I believe really dropped the ball and put a lot of accounts at risk here… Please suggest what actions we should take to protect our accounts before it’s too late.

I understand your concern, but you should know that ArenaNet does not use and has never used PlaySpan for billing or micro-transaction services in Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2.

We do not share account credentials with PlaySpan or any other company.
