I waited half an hour for Teq event. Then once it starts I lag and die. Then I get three disconnects during the event. Finally to miss on the chest.

Please forget about everything else and get the basics working. ATM it is like Mankind MMO back in the 90’s that died because of basically bad bandwidth issues like Anet is having now.

I have been having similiar issues since the new feature patch. 30 seconds of lag and rubberbanding non stop at world boss events. It has become completely unplayable. My Internet is working fine. Please fix.

Same.. I was hoping the September 9th patch would fix the lag I’d been having since the last DDoS attack, but instead it made the game much worse. I was getting about 25fps(6 in boss fights) before the DDoS attack, afterwards it was down to 16fps(2 in boss fights). After the September 9th patch, I’ve been getting 10fps(1 frame every 20 seconds in boss fights now). The game randomly freezes for 20 seconds to several minutes at a time, making content often unplayable and unreasonably frustrating. The internet is fine, and everything including other games loads up instantly except for GW2; did the developers even try to optimize the game at all with this dreadful feature patch?

I’ve been adamant about sticking with GW2 for about 2 years now; now there are new and promising games coming out and GW2 better come out with good development (both content and optimization) soon or else it may lose a good chunk of its fan base (myself included). One last thought on the matter.. perhaps it has something to do with NCSoft clumping all its big games into the same data centers. From @WildStarOps via twitter, they posted:

“The NA NCSOFT Data Center is currently experiencing connectivity issues, which is affecting multiple games, forums and EU WildStar auth.” – Aug. 21

This leads me to believe that it’s likely a problem both with the shoddy lack of proper optimization of GW2 and with the way all NCSoft games are clumped together, which leads for any DDoS attacks and possibly much more to affect the performance of GW2. Idk for sure though; I’m just a player who isn’t really tech-savvy anyway.

a few minutes ago the same problem. got 3 disconnects on tequatl (my friend in ts too!). Finally the game crashed complete (my friends game crashed at the exact same moment…). Looking to the offical website shows, they have big problems at the moment. The website is blown up!

Same. ANet should focus seriously on all those disconnects and crashes.
Happened a few minutes ago on Triple Trouble, about half players have been disconnected on two distinct maps ~1 min before killing the wurm.

Same here on Wurm first FPS drop and then error, never ever had this, i play since beta and happens after the last patch only this is the 3th time today i got this.

Yea, I’ve never really had problems with lag in this game until recently. I got dc 4 times during a jormag battle ! and the lag reminds me of what it use to be like playing on a 56 k modem, i now use 1 with speeds of 38912 k.

I’m experiencing the same massive lags. It’s very annoying since I’m a very active WvW player and I can’t fight at all with all of that rubberbanding.
My client keeps running for about 15 seconds until players position, skills and HP get updated. I can’t use my skills or run properly and I get ported all over the map. This is the 2nd night that I’m having such heavy lag issues.

Unfortunately your lag issues are most likely not Anet fault, there are several reason you may have lag. Here are the a few of the main ones, something you have running in the background that is taking priority of your internet or you have a virus or malware high jacking your connection, you have to many users on the same connection on the internet at the same time or someone is leaching off your wifi, bad our defective modem, bad or improperly installed cabling (to many cable splitters between the incoming cable and your modem there should only be one the one your cable provider installed for you. Not the one you bought at the dollar store.), wifi congestion this is a growing problem with everything but the toilet becoming wifi enabled lately this is becoming a growing problem especially in high populated areas, packet loss this is a big one lately with major backbone providers selling off bandwidth to the highest bidder, your ISP throttling your connection during prime time, or if you are using to much bandwidth, how far you are out from your ISP data center, and the list goes on. If you have not checked everything out and you are getting lag then you have no right to blame Anet for something that is beyond their control. There are hundreds of thousands that plays this game with little to no issues in any given hour and I’m one of them if the lag issue was at Anet’s servers then this would be a larger issue and I would have lag but I never do so the problem is not server side.

Try reading other threads, it is very likely server side problems. At least I’m sure of it in my case because I didn’t have lag issues before the feature patch and my Internet connection is working fine.

The main problem is disconnects. Lag and FPS is tolerable sometimes. Disconnected six times in the last two hours today. Thats a record for me. Have been having them since installing, but nowhere near this much. Main culprits are always boss events. Please fix, this is getting really tiring.
