try running a checkdisk on your hard drives via command line http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee872425.aspx

short easy way to do this.

start>seach “cmd”

rclick the CMD icon and run as admin

in the command window type “chkdsk /f” then Y when it asks if you wana check on reboot.

do this for each drive in your system, example command line would be “chkdsk /f d:” where D is the drive letter just change that and do the check on all drives, only C should need a restart to check.

this will check for errors on your drive.

after doing this, run ccleaner on your system to cleanup any temp files or log files….the junk left over from the act of using windows.

note: also run the regestry cleaner function, it can help, despite what some will say, I have had ccleaner and chkdsk fix many systems/games/apps over the years when others insited a reinstall of the os was needed……20+ years working on computers…..you learn some crazy tricks.

AMD FX-8350@4.8ghz on air(SilverArrowSB-E Extreme) , 32gb 1866mhz(10-11-10 cr1)
PCP&C 1200watt TC, Crosshair V F-Z, Sapphire 290x

To the OP if you have done this ^^^^^^ then you probably need to reinstall your OS sorry to say that I know it’s a pain. I agree with him that it should of could of fixed it.

It would be nice if you could provide us with more information to help, if you can upload a ‘NCSoft gameadvisor’ file that may help us … (just google it :P )

Then the general approach to fixing computer issues is:
0. Make sure the computer has the right specs to run the software.

1. Make sure your computer is clean on the inside, clogged up stuff causes various issues.

2. Make sure the computer has all the latest drivers/firmware(bios) for mother board and other cards. You can generally check the manufacturers-sites of the hardware to get the latest versions. (this includes network cards, sound cards etc where applicable)

3. Reinstall the software… and use the default folder that it comes with, instead of picking your own location…

4. Reinstall the software after using a CCleaner (or other cleaner type) after the uninstall to make sure all traces of the software are gone before reinstalling it again.

5. Reinstall the GFX drivers after a cleaner type software after the uninstall, to make sure all traces of the software are gone before reinstalling it again.

6. Check the disk & Check the Ram.

7. Reinstall Windows, use the latest drivers. (make sure you back-up your files, and i find it use full to pre-download the installers for most of the software i have on my system, and back that up as well. You will need a separate hard-drive or a partition to back files onto.

*Some of these steps are best done with tech support at hand, esp. if you are unfamiliar with doing them. At best they can recommend decent cleaner software… Seeing step 0. has not yet been met, perhaps its best to start with the game advisor file, and take it from there…

We are peace, we are war. We are how we treat each other and nothing more…
