Hello everyone!

I dont know what to do. But now im going to make a Topice here on the forum because i havent got some response from GW2/ Develpoers or how I’m going to write. Sorry if i write something wrong/spell…

But this is the problem, About the render sampling. When i choose in the graphics options “autodetect” the only thing thats changing to me is the render sampling.
And now when I’m running on the “Native” options it’s happening like on the first pricture i have attached. The shadow thingy is so wierd. But when i turn a camera a bit or fast it dissapears and its being normal like while im on “supersample”. And when i turn it back its getting wieard again. So in “crazy” situations like zergs its really annoying because it like Blinks on the screen. So now im playing on supersample. But!
Its a diffrent too because i feel really more smoother in game playing while im on “native mode” or when I’m in “supersample” So i would like to play on “native” but witout the dizzy/wierd shadow thingy…

And i have cheked Nvidia support about this and they said to me to instal older driver and i have tried many drivers and its the same thing. so probably is to the game… and everything on my comp. is up to date…

Here some specs. if it is someone out there who can help me. or is it gw2 engine or something problem.

I have Nvidia GTX 680 4Gb Special Edition CU2 cooling.
and Intel i7-3770K Clocked to 4.6 Ghz Stable on Asus Maximus V Gene
And from the graphics card i use DP, Display port cable. to my ASUS VG248QE 24"

Thanks in forwards!

This topic should not be in this forum. There is a forum for technical problems and this will be moved there as soon as a mod sees it.

First – using the most up to date drivers? Also, GW2 is a DX 9.0C game, so it doesn’t use all the fancy-schmancy stuff on video cards. Have you set up your video per GW2 recommendations? That is in the Technical forum also.

I have had issues with NVidia cards in the past. Make sure your card is not overheating, same with your CPU – as this game is very CPU heavy, I would run your CPU at it normal speed and see if you still have the issue. Stable does not mean it plays games well.

The “shadow” stuff in your first image looks a lot like a badly applied ambient occlusion effect. Are you forcing ambient occlusion through the Nvidia control panel? It doesn’t work well in many games (and it looks fake as hell unless properly applied into a render pipeline anyways), so it shouldn’t be forced on for everything.

As for why it only appears with default sampling, the driver’s internal heuristics probably only assume a render target with the same resolution as the screen (or the inside of the window) would be something to apply the AO filter to.

Tota.4893!
Thanks for the help!
My AO filter was on Performance, I swiched it to off in Nvidias control panel.
Now its really nice to play the game and instead of 78-86 fps in supersample.
now i have 130-144 fps in Native, Really nice thanks!
