Please fix this broken game server EU
Its not just Europe, I am getting this consistently, the same time every day on Fort ASpenwood.
Space Marine Z [GLTY]
This IP addressed server could NOT show up for both EU and NA players…..(assuming you are talking about EU players on EU servers and NA players on NA servers….)
Has anyone actually submitted a ticket to Anet Support identifying this Server IP as being problematic? This thread is NOT going to guarantee this gets brought to Anet’s attention properly. In fact, and in game report of this would be more likely to make the proper Anet staff aware sooner.

Toooooooooooooooooooo much lag spikes, lately, unplayable, not just me, my group , guild everyone says same, FIX NEEDED.
What is this another DDOS attack ?
Hi Bambu,
Can you please clarify what you mean by the server being broken? If you’re trying to run a trace to that IP, you’ll need to remove the “:0” at the end of the address as it’s not actually part of the IP address, so the actual IP address would be “206.127.159.225.” To be honest I’m not really sure why it shows up that way, but it has always done that. Also, to clarify, Guild Wars 2 has a sort of “hive” of IP addresses meaning that each map and zone will have a different IP address as opposed to a unique IP address for the entire server.
Lastly, there is a thread about EU connectivity issues that we’re still collecting information on:

Were you playing on a Pvp, Wvw or Pve map?
every where i go it is lag pvp wvw pve …….. server whitesideridge
population does not seem to make a difference
the game is unplayable … i cant even fight a deer . because i get a lag spike and the deer kills me lol
Run a TraceRT and see where the lag is happening. It is likely NOT at Anet’s end (but somewhere in your internet routing path). There have been lots of reports of bad routing in both UK and EU in general lately.

I only do dungeon and world events.
In all the dungeons I have lag spikes (at Citadel of flame at 23h gmt+1 It was awfully lagged even though I tried to load a youtube video and it was smooth) and mostly I get screen freezes…ohh…the screen freezes… omg they are so frequent that is making me hate the game
The freezes for me started a bit after the uptade of the 9 of september.
IT even makes me want to come back to Aion EU! (with that robber and useless company of gameforge or lameforge how people call it)
And the desconections randomly, sometimes I think I got disconected cause I was afk for too long but when I check the message it says something about the internet conection

Why would you think it’s likely NOT Anet’s end… you of course have proof to throw the notion that many, many players/groups/guilds from all over the EU/NA that are getting the same issues and its not ANET’s end???
This is happening far to frequent across a lot of megaserver maps. Pretty much every World Boss is a lag spike/DC waiting to happen for many players. Whole groups at events are being lagged or worse DC’ed now.
Then we get the issues with certain maps throwing players out of game due to Serious errors.. Timberline Falls and Gendaran are pretty much unplayable for me right now, but if I hit other maps I don’t get the issues… it starts from small skill or game lag then bang Serious Error, send report and crash to desktop.
I would hazard a guess there is some issues with the Megaserver map copies/map cappings. Last night my guildmate got instant transferred off Divinity Reach with no message, no request just blipped to another map copy, while I was stood right next to him in conversation. Something is definitely up, too many players are suffering common issues. Sure our own ISP’s are likely not perfect on there routing through the www but I am of the mindset that ANET know there are issues their end and are hoping they can get it fixed.
Ooh to be a new player trialling the game whiles its dogged performance issues are alive and healthy.

……
Because many other players are NOT having these issues. If the issues were on Anet’s end EVERY player would be having these issue (as they were when DDOS attacks were happening).
If 10,000 people are trying to reach a location and a bridge is out blocking 5,000 of them from reaching the location. The 5,000 people not getting there could ASSUME the problem was at the Entrance to the location, but that does not make it true. The BRIDGE needs to be fixed for all 10,000 people to arrive on time at the same place.
Runing TraceRT is like a one way traffic alert App…..it will TELL you where the traffic problem lies. All I’m saying is to quit assuming who’s fault this is and find OUT. Note that if the problem is on the return (from Anet to you) then TraceRT will not find it, so keep that in mind.
EDIT: Note that there obviously IS some issue going on with a certain zones on the Server side as there is a confirmed bug (that Anet has stated they made some changes to fix…no confirmation it has been fixed that I know of). It has to do with specific players logging into Zones and their presence seems to lag the entire zone. I know no details, but this is possibly the cause for some of this (but there is also known issues of router / backbone issues in EU and the UK as well).

A bit late answer but it may not be the whole server but the ip that gives the ending of 206.127.159.2XX. Doesn’t matter if it’s pve or pvp or wvw, if the ip ends in 2xx you might as well give up or restart the instance because the lag and dc spikes are intolerable.
