Please review the Botting script.
As I proposed in a different thread, it doesnt need to be the script and I would like to make it broader.
A script is marking your account with a suspicious flag. A GM is reviewing those flags and hits the ban button. There is no autmatic banning. So maybe just give the GM’s better training in recognising false flags??
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
If that’s the case, then yes that would be appropriate. The other method might be adjusting the threshold on how quickly the script reacts to mark accounts. I was only there for 20 minutes at the most, it shouldn’t be flagging me that quickly. I usually don’t stay more then 30 min anyway because with DR there isn’t much point. I figured I would be safe at least up to that point.
My assumption was obviously incorrect.
As flags are reviewed by actual GMs, and being limited in their resources, perhaps it wasn’t your 20 minutes in said zone that caused the flag to appear. Cause and effect are not always immediate. I am sorry, though, to hear about your difficulties. Best of luck in the future. =)

I cannot find the post, but I am pretty sure I remember Gaile saying the botting scripts actually where automatically banning and only the player reports where reviewed by a GM. I remember this because I had been telling players there was no automatic banning, and I was corrected on that.
