It’s possible. You don’t have to unless you have connection problems. But basically, you want to make sure that the 4 ports required by gw2 are unrestricted.

Almost any code will tell you the ports required.
You can doenload this little app called PFPortChecker to make sure the ports are open/unrestricted.
