I apologize if I am posting in wrong area but was wondering if I were to prepurchase Heart of Thorns from amazon.com would I still qualify for the free char slot or would i have to purchase from guild wars site?

You can pre-purchase from Amazon and qualify for the bonus character slot. Just make sure it is a pre-purchase rather than a pre-order. Also make sure to apply your Serial Key before launch.

It doesn’t matter where you buy it, you just need to add the serial to your account prior to release. The core account must have also been registered prior to January 23 (or June 16 if the account was purchased from an alternate retailer).
