Problem with log in to GW2 client.
I got the very same issue
I got the very same issue
That is the coherentui_host.exe process doing web stuff, so if you have anything that might block outbound web traffic from it, fiddle that.
edit: healix.5819 noticed the key words that I missed; see https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Problem-with-log-in-to-GW2-client/6547002 instead of anything I said.

My account works, on another computer, on the same router as mine.
You likely have software on your computer that is interfering with your connection. Besides an obvious firewall or anti-virus, it could be a VPN/proxy or anything else that intercepts your network traffic.
Search the start menu for cmd, right click it and run it as an administrator. Enter the following commands:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
Search the start menu for msconfig and open it. Under the boot tab, check safe boot and select network under it, then OK and reboot. Remember this, as you’ll need to uncheck safe boot to return to normal.
Under safe mode, nearly all 3rd party software should be disabled. Try logging in. For similar results without safe mode, use msconfig to disable all non-Microsoft services and all startup programs. If it works, you’d need to go through them a bit a time until it doesn’t to find out the cause.
Thanks Healix for the information.
When i used:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
in cmd, turned out that I can log in to the game and I can play but only on the map on which I am currently located. When I want to use way point, the game crashed. The message in the attachment.
I also tried to go through the gate to change the location – the same effect – game crashed.
In safe mode I can’t play.
In safe mode I can’t play.
Safe mode was just to test your ability to login. For something similar, you open msconfig, select the services tab, check hide all Microsoft services, then disable all, and under the startup tab, you disable everything. Reboot.
Open the control panel, search for adapters and open network connections. Right click your primary connection, select diagnose/repair and run through the process to reset it. You can also try re-installing the adapter (right click > properties > configure > driver), though ensure you have the drivers before doing so.
Alternatively, reinstall Windows.
Same here.
No new software,
No new hardware,
No new drivers,
No new ISP,
Just came from work and cant log in.
I experienced the exact same problem. I first ran a repair for the GW2.exe (instructions to be found here: https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201863008-Repairing-the-Game-Client)
I was using gw2-64.exe version, and this still didn’t work after the repair.
When I tried the normal gw2.exe I could login again
I hope this will help you too
Its the games login servers, its been having issues for the last few weeks now, if you get the error, just close the client wait a few minutes and try again,
I get this error every few days, as to 90% of my guild.
Ok I Did It It does’t work on my computer. When I reset computer, I can log in to the game and I can play but only on the map on which I am currently located. When I want to use way point, the game crashed. It does’t help waiting.
Aineam I only have a file Gw2-64.exe – sorry, but your way does’t work.
Error Code: 42:0:9001:4402 – sometimes Error Code: 58:11:5:535 but rarely.
What did the Tech CS Team have to offer?

My strong sense from what you have posted, and the fact that it was an assertion failure, is that something — a firewall, an anti-malware tool, something like that — is blocking connections for the application.
Like, the crash you showed? It says that the programmers consider the situation they found themselves in literally impossible, and that it’s that the “socket handle” is invalid.
That “socket handle” is the thing that the OS and application share, locally, to represent the network connection. It’s not a “network” problem, but rather, “something inside your OS” that it points to.
That also corresponds to the problem described, where you can connect, then the next connection attempt fails — I suspect you can waypoint within the map fine, but can’t to another map, right?
Yes. You’re right. I can waypoint within the map fine, but can’t to another map.
The worst part is that I did not change anything in my computer settings. The problem came suddenly. I even tried to turn off anti-virus. Nothing has changed.
Problem happening now for me too, 4/12/2017 @ approx 10pm Eastern Time. Game client was working fine, then it stopped responding. After restarting the game, I’m “… unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time.”
Want to put my name in the list of those affected. Was playing fine for the last few days, tonight I get back to work and I’m getting the same message. Loading screens are non-stop forever and game loaded only once—lagged—then stopped working again
I’m having the same issue as well. Got in on one of my characters, but every attempt since then has resulted in a very long loading screen ending finally in an error that it’s lost connection with the login server and entire game crashes down at that point to desktop.
Today’s issue is different from the OP’s.
The Devs are aware of today’s issue, and are working on it. (See the thread in GD.)
Good luck.
