My soundcard is the Asus Xonar Essence STX and my headset is the Sennheiser PC 360. I have set the sound to 7.1 in the Essence’s Audio Center and all other games run fine with this. However, I have noticed that if I run GW2 with this setup, the music suffers a lot. It basically just disappears. Audio dialogue, environment sounds and effect sounds play perfectly fine and loud, but the music is non-existent.
What can I do to get the music to play properly and at the intended volume while having the audio output set to 7.1?
