The GuildWars2 Support will not touch these problems for a long time.
As there are outstanding more important ones.
So this may never get a response from a Support Staff.
I hope you get what your looking for this is just a head’s up.
Same problem here, I submitted a ticket but I am not holding my breath. I would suggest they create a more visible signal to inform players that a specific time of armor cannot be equiped. IE highlight the piece in red on the purchase tab (I know when you scroll over the armor it give this information). I was stupid and hastily purchased heavy armor when I use medium armor – same stats.
I would like an official comment on this as well. I know they are busy, just a no would suffice for me. Also, Veeber, I haven’t read all of the rules and regs but if there is someplace that addresses this issue please direct my attention to it.
