Q:

I want to pre-purchase HoT, but I’m really worried that buying it will be essentially throwing away my money if it will contact me on the email that I can no longer (easily) access.

Firstly- Do I need to be able to check the email I use on Gw2 to confirm the purchase? Or just the email used for billing?

Secondly- How do I go about changing the email I use to log in, or at least the email that notifications are sent to me on?

I’m sure this is asked all the time, but I couldn’t find anything really definite in the FAQ

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

You can contact the CS Team to change your Account Name (email associated with your game account). ‘Support’ link above/below – ‘Submit a Request’

You need not access any emails sent with the purchase of HoT if you purchase through the website or in-game, as long as you want to associate the Serial Key with the account you are using to access the Gem Store.

The only thing sent to the email on file is a copy of the Serial Key and a receipt of your purchase for your records, but you can just write down the number(s), if you use the website.
