Hello forum-dwellers!

I am intending to buy either a Razer Orbweaver keypad or a Razer Blackwidow keyboard and would like the help of anyone who has experience with either of these peripherals!
My main problem is if I bought the Orbweaver I wanted to use the thumbpad as a substitute for the WASD keys, so as to control the movement of my character with the thumbpad (a bit like as if I was using a joystick). Do you know if this possible? I have already contacted support and they basically said that they don’t know if it works, as they haven’t tested, and advised me to seek the help of other players that may have already tried using different configurations.

Which one do you like the most?
If I bought the Orbweaver, is it possible to use the thumbpad to control my character instead of the WASD keys of the keyboard?

I have not used an Orbweaver yet, but I personally love the Blackwidow. I’d strongly suggest the Chroma version for light-mapping your keysets to what you use. It has a large amount of programming options since each key is programmable. If you have questions about the Blackwidow (non-chroma version) I can provide any answers you’d need. I couple my rig with the Naga 2014 which is a fantastic combination.

I have an Orbweaver and did try to use it with GW2.

Through the Razer software you can indeed bind the thumbpad to WASD, but it ends up being extremely uncomfortable to use – the thumbpad is really more like a hat switch on a joystick and its movements are very small and clicky. I gave up on using it very quickly.
