Is there any way to have the base (core) game w/o restriction for money?

Brother is willing to try game out but doesnt want restrictions.. and doesn’t wanna spend money on HoT quite yet.

is there anyway to do that like mine it’s the core game but w/o restrictions since I bought mine at launch?

Free play will have restriction You brother can find core game for sale other place like Amazon and maybe other Anet authorize seller. Can look at Anet authorize seller to see if sell core game key.

He will still have to buy HoT later if want. So if buy core game other place and later want to play HoT will have to pay again to upgrade.

I’m not see digital code (sent to email usually) just actual box game :/

You will have to search around for any old Core games. Doubtful you will find any digital download ones, anymore; no need to keep those ‘in stock’. Probably just boxed versions now.
