I don’t know what your exact solution will be, but I suspect you need to submit a ticket! From what I read in your post that GM didn’t fully understand your predicament.

You would have to ask the CS Team if your account is now in the NA data center, and if so, if there is a way to move it to the EU data center.

I think he just saw “region” and copypaste’d the gem stuff.
I don’t blame them, they must be swamped with support tickets what with all the increased activity. I just hope the ultimate solution will be something more elegant than “buy the game again” or “buy gems”.
