Now, I have been told that a forced reboot can be the result of a failing PSU but I disagree with that diagnosis given it’s only GW2 that gives me this.
I had this before but only after a patch. Since the last time this happened and now, everything has been fine.
Any help most appreciated.
Bumping as further research has garnered this factoid (from event viewer in Win7):

GW2 could be forcing your power supply to work harder, and it is having a problem, or your power supply could be having a power issue. If you want specific assistance you should submit a ticket.
Interesting, I found this thread on the Internet with the same error as yours. You could consider reading up on it.
Every link posted makes reference to video card drivers have you checked for updated driver lately or did you update your drive lately you may have to down grade to fix the issue.
@ Ellieanna I’ve heard this before but my PSU is a 1KW one and, according to Speccy, performing adequately on all rails. After testing the below, I’ll submit a ticket as you suggest. Mind you, I was looking to get a new PC anyway…
@ Loli Yes, I saw that too. Only two of us in the whole world having the same issue, eh? Ah well.
@ I updated my drivers because I was crashing so I guess rolling them back isn’t going to help
Thanks for your replies folks, some more digging required. Incidentally, I tried limiting my FPS back to 60 in-game and it felt more stable; I was certainly playing for a lot longer but I only had 10 minutes to test so that’s not a definitive answer.
Have you tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, maybe as a last resort completely reformat and reinstall Windows. I do this once a year wether I need to or not, it’s like getting a brand new system a clean install works wonders!
Let me guess ..you have an NVidia GPU ? Those guys throw out unstable
drivers like crazy and maybe 1 of 10 or 20 versions is really stable on most
systems.
So either try older ones until you find a stable one, or google for what version
at the moment is the most stable,
