I recently purchased the game and started playing. After downloading the game, I played it at home perfectly fine for a day or two, got my Mesmer to level 13 and I was enjoying myself, but I took my laptop over to my friends house last saturday and when I started up the game and got into the world, I could play for a couple seconds and it rebooted my computer. I tried it once more and it rebooted again, I decided that I would deal with it later. Yesterday, I checked all my drivers and updated my graphics driver and my BIOS, but today when I tried to play it, instead of rebooting the computer, it blue-screened and now a couple other games are also misbehaving and giving me a variety of trouble.

Nvidia Kernel mode has stopped working and recovered successfully warnings show up when I play multiple other games, and when trying to play Just Cause 2, the game stopped responding and now will not even boot up. Any help would be greatly appreciated, (go into detail on how to perform any tasks as I am not too keen to computer lingo and such, best I can do for you is bring up Dxdiag) and I’m fully aware of how common the kernel mode crashes are, but to my knowledge, all the research I’ve done on it has shown that there isn’t any one cause or any one fix to it.

Thanks in advanced!

Hard to day, but from your description something may well have happened to the laptop when you transported it. It has to be hardware, and if you’re not a ‘techie’ yourself then you need to take it somewhere that is.

My first GUESS is that it’s a heating problem caused by a fan fault, probably affecting the gfx chip, but there could be many other reasons like a loose connection, etc.
